Role Description The Nurse Trainee role at Crown Medical Center is a full-time, on-site position based in Doha, Qatar.

The Nurse

Trainee will support registered nurses and medical staff in delivering patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with basic procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Daily responsibilities include maintaining clean and organized patient areas, restocking supplies, and following infection control and safety protocols. The role involves documenting patient information accurately under supervision, communicating patient needs to the care team, and assisting with patient education as directed.

The Nurse

Trainee will participate in training sessions, mentorship programs, and ongoing learning to build clinical skills and knowledge in a structured environment.

Qualifications

  • Foundational clinical knowledge, including basic nursing principles, vital signs measurement, and infection control practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to follow directions, accept feedback, and work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in or completion of a nursing assistant, practical nursing, or nursing degree program is preferred.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for 24/7 care.
  • Basic computer literacy for electronic health records and clinical documentation; prior healthcare experience or internship is an advantage.
