Role Context

The Operations Supervisor will support the daily management of delivery station activities and step into the Operations Manager 's responsibilities when required. The position is responsible for maintaining safe operations, coordinating people and workload, monitoring productivity, and ensuring shipments are processed and dispatched in line with operational targets. The role requires close supervision of logistics assistants, coordinators, drivers, and delivery associates. By tracking workflows, reviewing performance data, coaching team members, and working with delivery service providers, the supervisor will help improve delivery reliability, safety, productivity, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall daily management of delivery station operations.
  • Deputize for the Operations Manager when required and maintain continuity of site leadership.
  • Prioritize workplace safety and continuously identify opportunities to improve safe operating practices.
  • Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, drivers, and delivery associates during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure shipments are processed and delivered according to operational KPIs and service expectations.
  • Monitor coordinator and associate performance and provide coaching where improvement is needed.
  • Brief drivers and associates on workload, priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
  • Track daily workflow and respond quickly to delays, capacity issues, or process bottlenecks.
  • Monitor operational metrics covering productivity, quality, delivery performance, and safety.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with performance tracking, trend analysis, and regular site reporting.
  • Ensure administrative tasks and operational records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and resolve recurring operational issues.
  • Communicate expectations clearly to delivery service providers and follow up on service quality concerns.
  • Support improvement of third-party delivery performance through structured feedback and escalation.
  • Participate in interviews for associate-level roles.
  • Help train and mentor new associates to ensure they understand operational procedures and performance expectations.
  • Identify training requirements and coordinate development support where needed.
  • Follow up on process-related issues and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Support absence management and workforce planning activities.
  • Assist with performance management and coaching across assigned teams.
  • Monitor departmental productivity and help maintain sufficient staffing for expected workload.
  • Adjust resources according to shipment volumes and operational priorities.
  • Maintain flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when business requirements demand additional coverage.

  • Previous experience managing or supervising teams.
