Paid Search Manager.Marketing & Performance-UAE

The Paid Search Manager will lead the Paid Search team within the Marketing & Performance team, reporting to the Head of Marketing (C&T) to positively impact the Alshaya business and customer experience.

This role has responsibility and accountability for the management of all Paid Search, for brand and non-brand search terms and Google Shopping, the campaigning and trading of these activities, the development of strategy, the management of media partner and external relationships, and the development of the team.

Through the management of paid media through Paid Search channels this role has responsibility for the management and efficient use of marketing budget, working closely with the Senior Media Planning & Performance Managers and other budget owners in the Marketing & Performance team to deliver the P&L.

This role

Leads the Paid Search team across Dubai and Cairo locations, working within the Marketing team reporting to the Head of Marketing (C&T).

Is solely responsible and accountable for the management, development and performance of the Paid Search channel and team.

Works seamlessly with Senior Media Planning & Performance Managers, other Marketing channel managers and brand teams to deliver the business plans for brands.

Is responsible for the management of marketing budgets (franchise costs) to deliver channel and overall brand and business ROI targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Trading

Manage and develop the Paid Search marketing channel to support and achieve each brand’s Business Plan.

Plan and manage the Paid Search budget, as part of the total marketing spend and in close conjunction with the Media Planning & Performance team, to meet marketing channel targets, eCommerce and FFM ROI targets and deliver the P&L.

Work closely with the Media Planning & Performance team, brand teams and other stakeholders to define and deliver the Paid Search strategy and marketing channel plan for each brand.

Campaigning

Plan and execute marketing campaigns across Paid Search channels as per each brand campaign plan and working with Media Planning & Performance team and brand partners, to best reach, engage and convert customers and deliver the P&L.

Continuously review and optimise all aspects of campaign performance to improve channel KPIs including but not limited to CPC, CPS, CPO and ROI and search lift.

Work with the design team, content teams, brand team, other internal stakeholders, and external partners, to create engaging advertising copy and content to improve the customer experience and media performance via CTR and other marketing metrics.

Lead on quality control across all Paid Search activity including but not limited to the pre-launch review of campaigns and content.

Carry out regular post campaign reviews with internal and external partners to understand the key drivers of performance and to identify areas for improvement.

Growth

Support the continuous growth of Alshaya through the acquisition of new customers and the delivery of revenue.

Tirelessly develop and evolve our Paid Search strategy and capabilities, including the testing of new digital marketing products, AI, new creative opportunities and the review of media partners, to improve commercial performance, customer experience, and the profile of the team and channel.

Work with the Brands and Media Planning & Performance team to execute fully aligned ‘full funnel’ marketing campaigns and drive incremental, mutual benefit from our collaboration across Brand and eCommerce teams.

Support the Aura loyalty program to increase customer retention and lifetime value.

Explore new ideas and innovations across the Marketing & Performance team, to create new customer experiences and growth opportunities.

Adopt a test & learn culture across the team to test, analyse, and iterate on new ideas and opportunities to drive continuous improvement across marketing channel KPIs.

Data & Reporting

Develop new marketing channel reporting to improve performance visibility and tactical opportunities inside the Marketing & Performance team and marketing transparency outside the team.

Work with external partners, and internal MarTech team and central data team to improve the integrity, accuracy, and granularity of marketing channel data.

Work the external partners and internal data team to find new ways to track and attribute marketing performance in a post-cookie and privacy led world.

Explore, analyse and surface intelligent, actionable insights on a regular basis, across the full customer journey.

Produce detailed analysis on an ‘as and when required’ basis and support post campaign reports.

People

Work seamlessly with brand teams in parallel with the Media Planning & Performance team, and with all other members of the Mareting & Performance team to deliver a single aligned Brand Media plan.

Work closely with other Alshaya departments to ensure that all marketing activity is delivered in line with set processes and procedures, and in accordance with regional strategies, goals and objectives.

Work equally effectively under your own initiative or as a fully committed team player, engendering respect and support from other members of the global business.

Maintain and develop relationships with all external partners to leverage strategic support, knowledge transfer and value add opportunities, ensuring that the Alshaya work ethic, brand values and mission are upheld at all times.
