Job overview

Rolla Academy is looking for an experienced interior designer or architectural visualiser who is passionate about training and developing future professionals.

The trainer will guide students through complete practical residential projects, from initial planning and modelling to materials, lighting, rendering and final presentation.

The purpose of this role is not only to teach software.

The selected trainer should help students develop the technical ability, design understanding, portfolio and confidence required to apply for internships and junior positions in interior-design, fit-out and architectural-visualisation companies.

Candidates do not need to be experts in every listed software. We are open to designers and visualisers who have strong expertise in their specialisation and can teach a complete, practical project workflow.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct practical interior-design and visualisation classes
  • Teach beginner and intermediate students
  • Guide students through complete residential projects
  • Explain space planning and design development
  • Teach SketchUp modelling and professional model organisation
  • Demonstrate materials, lighting and rendering
  • Teach interior, exterior and basic landscape visualisation
  • Prepare exercises, assignments and project files
  • Review student work and provide detailed feedback
  • Help students create professional portfolios
  • Explain industry expectations and project-presentation standards
  • Prepare students for internships and junior-level roles
  • Conduct classes offline, online or through a hybrid format
  • Maintain professional attendance and class timing
Candidate requirements
  • Minimum three years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong portfolio of residential projects
  • Strong knowledge in at least one main design or visualisation specialisation
  • Ability to explain design and software concepts clearly
  • Genuine interest in teaching and mentoring
  • Ability to guide students through complete projects
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Reliable availability for scheduled classes
Preferred
  • UAE residential design or fit-out experience
  • Previous training or mentoring experience
  • Interior Design or Architecture qualification
  • Experience supervising junior designers or interns
  • Knowledge of working drawings and client presentations
  • Experience preparing professional portfolios
Formal training experience is not compulsory. Experienced designers and visualisers with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in developing students are encouraged to apply.
