Job Title: Part-Time Logistics & Delivery Assistant (2 Days/Week)

Location: Finch Gift Shop – Finch Subway Station, North York, ON

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organized Part-Time Logistics & Delivery Assistant to help with our flower shop's weekly transportation and supply runs.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, is punctual, and can safely handle flowers and supplies.

Schedule

  • 2 days per week: Tuesday & Thursday
  • Hours: Approximately 5–7 hours per day
  • Flexible start time depending on supplier pickup schedules

Responsibilities

  • Drive to suppliers in Mississauga to pick up fresh flowers and floral supplies.
  • Transport flowers safely to our shop at Finch Subway Station.
  • Pick up balloons, ribbons, gift items, vases, packaging materials, and other shop supplies from various stores.
  • Load and unload flowers, boxes, and supplies with care.
  • Ensure flowers are transported properly to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Assist with organizing deliveries and inventory upon returning to the shop.
  • Keep receipts and communicate completed pickups with the shop manager.
  • Occasionally assist with other transportation or supply-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Responsible, punctual, and dependable.
  • Able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to approximately 25 kg (55 lbs).
  • Comfortable driving in the GTA, including Mississauga and Toronto.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous delivery, courier, warehouse, or logistics experience is an asset but not required.

Vehicle

Applicants may:

  • Use their own vehicle (mileage/gas allowance can be discussed), or
  • Use our company pickup/car, if preferred.

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable and will depend on:

  • Whether you use your own vehicle or ours.
  • Driving distance and fuel arrangements.
  • Experience and qualifications.
