Job Description:

Care and management of the cardiac patient in an ambulatory setting to deliver safe patient care.

  • Identifies needs for pre-procedural education and emotional support.
  • Family centered approach with demonstrated knowledge of age specific developmental needs.
  • Discharge teaching and education.
  • Medication administration
  • Follow up appointment.
  • Patient and family education growth and development, birth - adult
  • Head-to-Toe assessment
  • Recognition of the unwell child
  • Specimen collection
  • Arrythmia management
  • Assisting with Bubble studies
  • Fall assessment and management.
  • Skin Integrity assessment
  • Wound assessment and management, including dressings.
  • Insertion and management of subcutaneous catheters (insuflon), and SC injections.
  • Insertion and management of nasogastric tubes (NGT)
  • 12-15 lead Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Programing and placement for event monitor
  • Programing and placement for Holter monitor.
  • Care of Congenital and acquired heart disease, including but not limited to: ASD/VSD, AVSD, TOF, SVASD, PDA, CoA, SVT.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (4 years)
  • Registered Nurse in Qatar
  • 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience within the relevant specialty from a highly esteemed healthcare institution
  • Valid professional Nursing license in country of origin
