Job requirement

The Pool & Spa Technician is responsible for operating, controlling, monitoring, and recording overall pool and spa equipment such as swimming pool filters, booster pumps, filtration systems, heat cool pumps, heaters, and heat exchangers. Monitoring and controlling chemical parameters of all water facilities ensuring all are maintained within Marriott as well as local standards. Water fountain operation and maintenance. Spa steam, sauna, and Jacuzzi operation and maintenance.

Essential functions

  • Ensure pool and spa facilities are working properly.
  • Take daily three-time pool chemical readings and keep records to be kept in file.
  • Update daily morning chemical readings for all water facilities areas in Transcend and request to be closed within the timeframe.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for all equipment as per schedule.
  • Attend daily briefing and receive handover from the previous shift.
  • Follow the routine preventive maintenance (P&M) task activities and record accordingly.
  • Assist duty engineer to ensure overall pool and spa equipment are in proper and maximum condition and follow the duty engineer to implement P&M activities at appropriate times and when guests require.
  • Follow safety rules such as HACCP, ADAFSA, and OSHAD.
  • Practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
  • Take care of any guest or staff requests and complete them within the appropriate time. If unable to complete within your shift, hand over to the next shift accordingly.
  • Deliver stock items for mechanical/shift workshop and record accordingly.
  • Assist duty engineer to restock daily consumable materials in the workshop area such as lights, contactors, etc.
  • Assist duty engineer to establish and maintain seamless interaction and communication with all related departments.
  • Handle the routine checklist for overall pool and spa compliance in the property.

Preferred qualifications

  • Related work experience: experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
  • Experienced as pool technician in luxury hotels.
