Procurement Engineer / Senior Buyer

About this role Location: 9 months UAE (Abu Dhabi) then KSA, Jubail; Applying contracting & procurement strategies and tactics; Tendering, bid evaluation, and negotiation with Suppliers; Contract representative for medium to high value contracts; Supply chain improvement; Contracting & procurement for project; Supplier relationships; Contractor/supplier performance management; Supporting estimation team with budgetary quotes; Visible HSE Leadership; Develop Contracts and Procurement plan based on strategy; Conduct negotiation; Implement procurement system for the projects; Study market trends and develop tactics to leverage the market; Develop award proposals and secure approvals; Maintain close contact with key demand managers; Act as contract engineer for strategic contracts when delegated by C&P Lead; Own IKTVA commitment and ensures compliance; Deal with all issues including delays in order to reduce impact on projects; Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required; Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures all time including during supplier negotiations and contracts award process; Build and maintain C&P database.What you need to bring Bachelor’s degree is preferred; Minimum 10 years’ experience in the ME region including KSA, out of which 5 years in the ME region including KSA; Experience in metal processing/recycling/refining industry will be of advantage; Proven experience in procurement / supply chain for projects; Proven experience in negotiating and managing medium to high value contracts; Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial issues; Analytical skills including ability to process large volume of data into useful information; Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is preferred but not mandatory; Proven interpersonal, influencing & stakeholder management skill; Hands on experience in ERP contract management systems like SAP, Oracle including creating PR/PO, service entry, etc. is required; Should be computer literate including advanced Excel skills; Experience of contract management applications like Ariba, Procon, etc. will be of added advantage; Relevant experience in KSA is preferred but not essential; Preferred: International work experience in multicultural environment and accreditation from professional bodies.
