Job Title: Production Department In-Charge

Job Summary The Production Department In-Charge is responsible for leading and managing all production activities within the manufacturing facility to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved. The role involves planning, supervising production personnel, optimizing resources, improving manufacturing efficiency, and coordinating with Sales, Planning, Procurement, Stores, Quality Control, and Maintenance departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & Operations

· Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet customer delivery commitments.

· Allocate manpower, machines, and resources efficiently to maximize productivity.

· Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders.

· Ensure uninterrupted workflow across all production sections.

· Coordinate production priorities based on customer requirements and project deadlines.

Team Management

· Supervise production supervisors, machine operators, welders, fabricators, and helpers.

· Assign daily production targets and monitor team performance.

· Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and guidance.

· Ensure discipline, attendance, and compliance with company policies.

Quality Management

· Ensure all manufactured products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.

· Coordinate with the Quality Control department to resolve quality issues.

· Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects and rework.

Production Efficiency

· Monitor production output and machine utilization.

· Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

· Reduce production waste and optimize material consumption.

· Improve productivity through effective planning and process improvements.

Inventory & Material Coordination

· Coordinate with Procurement and Stores to ensure timely availability of raw materials.

· Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

· Verify production material requisitions and inventory usage.

Equipment & Maintenance

· Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with the Maintenance team.

· Ensure machines and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.

· Report breakdowns and follow up for timely repairs.

Health, Safety & Compliance

· Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.

· Promote a safe and clean working environment.

Reporting

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

· Monitor production KPIs and report performance to senior management.

· Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

· 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or production management role.

· Experience in Cable Management Systems, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Steel Manufacturing, MEP Products, or Metal Fabrication is highly preferred.
