What You'll Be Doing As a Recruiter Intern at Walker Healthforce, you will be embedded in our team and exposed to the full recruiting lifecycle — from sourcing and outreach to screening and coordination. This is not a passive, observational internship. You will contribute directly to active searches and develop real skills that translate to a career in recruiting, sales, or healthcare operations. Candidate Sourcing & Research Search LinkedIn, Indeed, and industry-specific platforms to identify qualified candidates in Healthcare IT, care management, and business operations Build talent pipelines for specialized roles such as EHR specialists, clinical informaticists, care coordinators, case managers, and other healthcare positions. Develop working knowledge of our ATS (Bullhorn) and industry job boards. Candidate Screening & Engagement Review resumes to evaluate alignment with client requirements across technical, clinical, and professional dimensions Conduct initial outreach and pre-screening conversations to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and fit Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the process Recruitment Operations & Coordination Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and the recruiting team Maintain accurate candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Support active requisitions through pipelining of candidates. Market Intelligence & Learning Build familiarity with key healthcare verticals, including health systems, managed care organizations, health plans, and consulting firms Participate in team meetings, training, and company-wide meetings/events Required Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Sales & Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional presence Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with digital tools and platforms Preferred Prior coursework, internship, or work experience in healthcare, recruiting, or sales Familiarity with healthcare terminology, care delivery models, or health information technology Experience using LinkedIn, ATS platforms, or CRM tools WalkerHealthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a culturally diverse workforce.
