Sales Executive (Air Freight Forwarding & Logistics) — Africa Trade Lane

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Sales Executive to strengthen our commercial team in Dubai, with a focus on air freight and the African trade lane. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in air freight sales and a strong understanding of African markets and clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth on African routes, managing customer relationships, preparing commercial proposals, and ensuring seamless coordination between clients, airlines/carriers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive air freight sales with a focus on the African trade lane (import/export).
  • Generate new business opportunities among African shippers, forwarders and trading companies, while managing and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Support customers by understanding their air freight logistics requirements and developing tailored solutions.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals and pricing sheets for air freight shipments.
  • Coordinate with airlines/carriers and internal pricing teams to obtain competitive rates and negotiate service agreements.
  • Manage air freight inquiries from customers and prospects trading with African destinations.
  • Handle customer documentation and follow up on inquiries, bookings, shipments, and service requests.
  • Maintain CRM records, sales trackers, and pipeline updates to ensure visibility for management reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Monitor sales opportunities, report progress to management and contribute to achieving commercial targets on the Africa route.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3–4 years of proven experience in air freight forwarding, logistics sales, or logistics sales support.
  • Demonstrated experience with African clients, markets, or trade routes is required — knowledge of key African destinations, customs practices and regional partners is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in air freight sales specifically.
  • Strong commercial understanding of air freight routings, pricing, carrier communication, and rate negotiations.
  • Experience preparing quotations, coordinating pricing, and supporting end-to-end sales activities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Fluency in English is required; French or other languages relevant to African markets is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Compensation

  • Base salary: 5,000–7,000 AED/month (based on experience).
  • Commission structure based on commercial performance and achievement of sales targets.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
