Security Engineer, Corporate Security

Cape is America's privacy-first mobile carrier. Founded in 2022, Cape is building a secure network from the ground up to provide consumers, businesses, and government agencies with a suite of privacy and security features that protect personal information.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and policies across corporate IT systems
- Own and mature identity and access management (IAM/SSO/MFA), endpoint security (EDR, MDM), and email/network security
- Perform comprehensive security assessments of corporate systems and vendors
- Establish governance, guardrails, and monitoring for emerging employee tooling
- Own the vulnerability management lifecycle across the corporate fleet
- Lead security awareness and phishing simulation programs
- Assess and manage third-party/vendor security risk
- Assist in addressing findings from penetration tests and internal audits
- Investigate security incidents and insider-threat concerns
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
- Experience across corporate/IT security domains (identity, endpoint, network, GRC)
- Deep understanding of enterprise identity providers, SSO/MFA, EDR, and MDM platforms
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
- Proficiency in scripting or automation (Python, shell scripting)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Advanced certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, or CISM
- Familiarity with government security frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST SP 800 series, CJIS)
- Knowledge of consumer privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
- Exposure to secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices
