We are looking for a Senior Interface & Integration Engineer to join our Rail & Metro team in the UAE, where you'll play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces and ensuring the successful integration of complex railway systems and infrastructure.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and management of technical interfaces between Rolling Stock, Traction Power, Signaling, Train Control, Telecommunications, SCADA, AFC, PSD, MEP, Civil, Track, and other railway systems.
  • Coordinate interfaces between railway systems and wider infrastructure, facilities, utilities, and third-party systems throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Interface Register, ensuring timely identification, tracking, resolution, and closure of technical interface issues.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design and systems integration reviews with clients, consultants, system suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Identify interface risks, technical dependencies, design conflicts, and integration issues and coordinate appropriate technical resolutions.
  • Review engineering and system design deliverables to ensure interface requirements are properly identified, coordinated, and incorporated into the overall project design.
  • Develop and review Interface Control Documents, interface requirements, interface matrices, and other technical interface documentation.
  • Coordinate design interfaces between engineering disciplines and ensure technical requirements are clearly defined and traceable.
  • Facilitate interface meetings, technical workshops, multidisciplinary design reviews, and Change Control Board activities where required.
  • Prepare and maintain interface reports, action trackers, meeting minutes, and technical records.
  • Review systems installation and integration requirements to ensure physical and functional interfaces are consistent with approved designs.
  • Support interface coordination during systems installation, testing, commissioning, and integration activities.
  • Support Design Managers and Systems Managers in resolving complex technical interfaces and system integration issues.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on interface management and systems integration to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 12–13 years of overall engineering experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of mandatory Rail & Metro experience.
  • Proven experience in Interface Engineering and Systems Integration on complex Rail & Metro projects.
  • Strong understanding of railway systems and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
  • Experience coordinating interfaces between Rolling Stock, Traction Power, Signaling, Train Control, Telecommunications, SCADA, MEP, Civil, Track, and other railway systems.
  • Experience developing and managing Interface Registers, Interface Control Documents, interface requirements, and technical interface matrices.
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex technical, design, and system integration issues.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, requirements management, configuration and change management, and verification and validation processes.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design reviews, technical workshops, interface meetings, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience reviewing system architectures, technical specifications, engineering design deliverables, contractor submissions, and interface documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/document management platforms;

    experience with BIM and digital engineering tools is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with international engineering consultancies.
  • Experience working with railway system integrators.
  • Experience in highly automated railway systems and complex systems integration environments.
  • Experience coordinating interfaces between railway systems and wider infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with GCC and UAE project requirements.
  • Experience with BIM-enabled design coordination and digital engineering workflows.
  • Experience supporting systems installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and technical verification.
