Senior Manager / Deputy General Manager - Content Writing & Communications

Job Overview
Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer. Geographical location: UAE. The Manager / Senior Manager - Content Writing will shape the organization's voice and external narrative by crafting impactful speeches, opinion pieces, and strategic communication materials. This role enhances leadership visibility, strengthens credibility, and influences stakeholder perception.
Responsibilities
Strategic Content Development
Draft, edit, and refine high‑impact copies for website, brochures, AV texts, speeches, opinion pieces, white paper extracts, corporate background notes, and media statements.
Create narratives on geopolitical, economic, and industry issues.
Develop speaking points, Q&A responses, and talking notes for leadership panels, media interviews, and conferences.
Write, review, and adapt content for diverse platforms, ensuring consistent tone, structure, and clarity aligned with brand and leadership.
Support crisis communication with holding statements, reactive responses, and stakeholder messaging.
Media & Thought Leadership Engagement
Draft press releases, media advisories, and official statements.
Build executive profiles, spokesperson briefs, and contextual background notes.
Attend briefings and external meetings to capture insights and translate them into publication‑ready content.
Collaborate with PR agencies, corporate communications teams, and media partners for consistency and accuracy.
Research, Analysis & Insight Generation
Conduct in‑depth research to support evidence‑based content.
Analyze industry reports, policy papers, and market trends to prepare insightful summaries.
Translate complex information into clear, easy‑to‑understand messages.
Stay abreast of evolving geopolitical and economic developments.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Editorial Excellence
Partner with senior leadership to align content with strategic priorities.
Manage multiple projects with sensitivity to tone, deadlines, and confidentiality.
Uphold editorial rigor, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and style consistency.

Promote judicious use of natural resources.
Adhere to environment, health, and safety policies, objectives, and guidelines.
Education and Experience
Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Economics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in professional writing, editorial, or corporate communications. Prior experience as a business journalist or in a PR/communications agency is strongly preferred.
Requirements
Experience drafting speeches, thought leadership content, media materials, and analytical reports.
Ability to translate complex issues into compelling, reader‑friendly content for senior audiences.
Proficiency in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations.
Excellent research and analytical skills, turning insights into impactful written content.
Experience preparing press releases, spokesperson briefs, Q&A notes, and content for leadership panels or interviews.
Demonstrated editorial rigor, exceptional writing quality, and ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining confidentiality.
Proven collaboration with senior leadership, PR teams, and media partners.
Ideal background: business journalism, economic writing, corporate content creation, or PR agency content writing with strong business/economy expertise.
