Senior survey scripter (Forsta Plus / Confirmit)

Verianis an independent research, evidence, evaluation, and communications agency that helps governments solve public policy challenges by working with citizens and the public realm.

We provide services to government and public sector organizations, drawing on expertise in social research, policy development, and communication.

The agency operates globally, with offices across Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US.

About the role

Senior survey scripter (Forsta Plus / Confirmit)

· Remote (EU) · 12-month service contract, with intention to extend

Why this role is different

Verian runs some of the largest and most complex survey programmes across Europe - for EU institutions, national governments of the UK and EU Member States, national statistical offices, and a wide range of other national and regional public bodies. Multi-country, multi-language, multi-mode studies whose results directly inform public policy across the continent.

We are looking for a senior Forsta Plus / Confirmit expert for whom two things will be true at once:

  • Your craft is at the centre. The core of the role is what you already do best: building complex, multi-market, multi-language surveys that simply work. It is a fast-paced delivery environment where quality, reliability and quick, confident resolution of issues during live fieldwork are what count - and where project teams across Europe and across global markets will rely on your platform depth every day.
  • You will help co-create the automation. Verian is investing heavily in automation and AI-assisted development for survey scripting, and this work is happening now, in live production. As you deliver, you will work directly with our AI and automation engineers - testing, shaping and helping build cutting-edge solutions for your own craft. Few scripting roles anywhere offer this kind of front-row, hands-on learning journey.

What you will do

  • Script and maintain complex surveys in Forsta Plus / Confirmit across CAWI, CATI, CAPI and mixed-mode, multi-market and multi-language studies
  • Design advanced routing, loops, validations and complex, interlocked quota frameworks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve live fieldwork issues quickly and decisively
  • Co-design automated scripting workflows, reusable templates and QA automation together with our engineers
  • Advise project directors and project managers across Europe on approach, feasibility and risk
  • Help shape scripting standards and, over time, support less experienced scripters

What you need from day one

  • Deep hands-on expertise in Forsta Plus / Confirmit (typically 5+ years, or equivalent depth)
  • A track record of delivering complex, multi-market, multi-language studies
  • Advanced routing and quota design, with solid JavaScript and HTML/CSS applied within the platform
  • Calm, independent troubleshooting under live fieldwork pressure
  • Professional working proficiency in English. Knowledge of German and/or French would be an advantage

What will strengthen your application (not required - much of this you will learn here)

  • Interest in, or experience with, AI-assisted coding and scripting tools - highly useful in this role
  • Python and/or R
  • API integrations, sample management and automated data exchanges
  • Advanced methodologies (e.g. MaxDiff, conjoint) or accessibility standards

What we offer

  • Indicative rate of €2,900–4,300 per month - the final offer will be agreed based on your specific skills and experience
  • Full-time engagement on an initial 12-month service contract (independent contractor or affiliate arrangement), with the intention to extend
  • Fully remote, based anywhere in the EU
  • A place in Verian's global Data Solutions team, reporting to a global manager in London, working on one or several large assignments alongside project directors and managers across Europe
  • A rare chance to apply and learn state-of-the-art AI and automation approaches on real, large-scale programmes - expertise that will define this profession over the coming years

The process - quick and simple

One introductory call, which will also cover the technical side; potentially a small practical task; then a fast decision. The work is available now and waiting - we will come back to you immediately, so if this sounds interesting, please get in touch as soon as you can.
