Role Description The Shift Incharge is a full-time, on-site role based in Sharjah, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations during assigned shifts in line with du’s service and quality standards. The role involves supervising shift staff, organizing work schedules, and ensuring that all operational activities are executed efficiently and safely.

The Shift

Incharge monitors network or service performance indicators, addresses operational issues, and coordinates with technical and support teams to resolve incidents promptly. This position requires ensuring adherence to company policies, documenting shift reports, and maintaining clear communication with management about performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Incharge also contributes to continuous process enhancements, supports training of team members, and helps uphold a strong customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Strong operational management and supervisory skills, including experience coordinating shift activities, delegating tasks, and overseeing team performance.
  • Proficiency in telecommunications or technology operations, with the ability to monitor service performance, interpret technical information, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on incident handling, risk mitigation, and maintaining service continuity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide staff, and provide clear updates to management.
  • Organizational and time management skills, including experience with shift planning, documentation, reporting, and compliance with operational procedures.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in an operational environment, and commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • Relevant experience in telecom operations, network operations center (NOC), or similar service environments; previous shift leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, telecommunications, IT, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
