Job description

To ensure all FAB branches and buildings are timely inspected by civil defence or any other applicable regulatory or legal authority for timely issuance of fire safety and security approvals for FAB premises.

Responsibilities

Generic accountability

To ensure all FAB branches and buildings are timely inspected by civil defence or any other applicable regulatory or legal authority for timely issuance of fire safety and security approvals for FAB premises.

Specific accountability

  • To ensure all FAB premises civil defence safety certificates are renewed and updated on or before expiry dates.
  • To ensure all FAB branches security system inspections and its approval from relevant police authorities are in place on or before civil defence expiry dates.
  • Maintain an updated MIS on the civil defence certificates and civil defence monitoring systems certificates.
  • To liaise with civil defence and other applicable regulatory bodies to bring up-to-date safety and security related regulations for timely compliance.
  • To ensure all payments related to civil defence and police are carried out on time to ensure inspections are scheduled on time.
  • To reconcile the payments carried out to civil defence and police with accounts team regularly to avoid any discrepancies.
  • To support premise team as and when required in arranging approvals and clearances from civil defence and police during fit out projects.
  • Arranging police and civil defence approvals for any other work not mentioned above and necessary for the functioning of the bank.
  • Manage the contract of fire alarm and fire fighting equipment.
  • Ensure the suppliers are doing regular checks for maintenance of fire alarm and fire fighting equipment.
  • Ensure availability of AMC, civil defence certificates, and civil defence monitoring systems certificates for all new and existing locations.
  • Ensure that all FAB locations are equipped with updated fire alarm and fire fighting equipment and timely maintenance of these equipment are carried out by the appointed vendor.
  • Assist in raising any savings related fire and safety sub unit.
  • Come up with new ideas to be implemented in the area.
  • Support automation process wherever possible.
  • Ensure all civil defence related payments are processed through FAB administration department corporate credit card.
  • Authorized to take decisions on renewals of civil defence and police related fire safety in consultation with premises team and any other stakeholders within the bank dealing with this subject.

Qualifications

Minimum qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Knowledge of local security and safety regulations is a must.
  • Workable knowledge of Arabic and English language.

Minimum experience

0 - 2 years experience in handling works with local authorities, especially with police and civil defence.
