Staff Nurse – Medical Surgical Ward

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Ward team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and will play a key role in supporting our patients during their recovery. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care to patients undergoing surgery, as well as those with medical conditions requiring hospital care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and wound care. Monitor patients’ conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create care plans. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, medications, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients, adhering to infection control standards. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care coordination. Qualifications Bachelors in Nursing from an accredited institution. Active Nursing License. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical ward or related clinical setting. Skills Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach. Preferred Advanced certifications such as ACLS, BLS, or other relevant certifications. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
