Role Description This full-time Storyboard artist -- with AR/VR or Gaming experience role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, with some flexibility for work from home. The designer will translate creative concepts into detailed storyboards for XR experiences, defining scenes, camera movements, interaction flows, and user journeys. Daily tasks include collaborating with game designers, developers, and creative leads to plan narrative structure, user experience, and pacing for immersive attractions. The role also involves creating and iterating 2D and 3D assets, environments, and props, primarily using tools like Blender, while ensuring consistency with project style guides and technical constraints. The designer will participate in reviews, refine concepts based on feedback, prepare documentation for production teams, and support testing to ensure that storytelling, gameplay, and performance align with Arkub’s quality standards. Qualifications - Strong understanding of immersive technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), and their impact on storytelling and user experience. - Background in visual storytelling, storyboarding, or cinematic layout, with the ability to convey ideas clearly through sketches, animatics, or prototypes. - Familiarity with real-time engines (e.g., Unity or Unreal Engine) and basic understanding of performance constraints in immersive environments. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams and incorporating feedback efficiently. - Ability to work on-site in Dubai in a hybrid setup, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment. - Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Animation, Interactive Media, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in AR/VR or themed attractions is an advantage.
