King’s College Doha is hiring a passionate Teaching Assistant for August 2026.
Our Teacher Assistants will support the ongoing progress and development of pupils by working in collaboration with Class Teachers to support learning and engagement in the classroom. We expect our Teaching Assistants to present themselves as excellent role models and learners by participating in continuing professional development and best practice, and contributing to wider school life through the participation in extended activities and school events.

The School campuses are conveniently located in the district of Al Thumama and Mesaimeer, easily accessible from all parts of Doha and only a twenty-minute drive from the City centre. Our impressive campuses offer superb facilities. For the Prep and Senior School, these include a dedicated library, a central atrium, science labs, an art and design centre, music and drama classrooms and practice rooms, several computer labs, a sports hall, swimming pool and copious amounts of outdoor sports facilities. On our Pre-Prep Campus, we have equally impressive, child centred facilities, specifically designed around Pre-Prep aged pupils.
Recently, King's College Doha successfully achieved the Qatar National Schools Accreditation highest accolade and is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME). According to the Ministry of Education, King's College Doha is rated among the most outstanding schools in Doha.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing stimulating learning for the children; assisting in the care of toys and equipment, and the preparation of drinks.
Helping maintain the safety, security, physical and emotional welfare of the children.
Working positively within the team structure and being included in the staff duty rotations.
Attending some staff meetings and events out of school hours.
Assisting with planning and its implementation and with observation for record keeping.
Being responsible to the Class Teacher and Head of Year.
Having knowledge of basic First Aid – or train to do so.
Conforming to the school dress code.
Respecting confidentiality within the school.
Role towards parents – being welcoming, polite and always showing a positive attitude towards parents; working together to help the development and welfare of each child.
Developing of culture of independent learning.

Adhering to school’s policy for the personal and social development of pupils, including pastoral care, guidance, anti-bullying and sanctions.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Qualifications in Education would be an advantage and ideally you will be able to encourage and support the children with their educational needs.
Personal Qualities
The skills required are many and varied but essential to the role, are diplomacy, firmness, tolerance, a sense of humor and the ability to be a key team player.
Legal Requirements
Position is local hire, family sponsored.
Police clearance certificate from home country (ACRO) if from UK and from Qatar, to be less than 1 year old.
Education Certificates must be attested by MOFA and Qatar Embassy home country. Education documents should be (degree certificate, transcripts, University letter stating you were a ‘full time’ Student).
Training and Development
Regularly review own practice, set personal development targets and take responsibility for own continuous professional development. You will be required to complete mandatory online Edu-care Courses as part of continuing Education and First Aid Course.
Recruitment Safeguarding
King's College Doha takes safeguarding the welfare of children and young people very seriously and expects the same from its employees. All staff will be subject to rigorous background checks to include three professional references. All education certificates and supporting documents need to be attested to show authenticity. Successful applicants must provide a police clearance certificate from home country and Qatar. Local police clearance certificates must be less than one year old. In addition, all new staff/volunteers will attend KCD induction and undertake mandatory child protection online training which is required by the Qatar Ministry of Education.
