Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Trailer Driver to support environmental and transportation operations across Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating trailer trucks for the transportation of non-hazardous waste, recyclable materials, sewage-related equipment, containers, and other operational materials while ensuring compliance with company procedures, road safety regulations, and environmental standards.

This role is critical in maintaining efficient service delivery, supporting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the safe and timely transportation of materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trailer trucks and heavy vehicles to transport non-hazardous waste, recyclable materials, containers, equipment, and operational assets to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all Qatar traffic laws, company safety policies, and environmental regulations during transportation activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical defects, damages, or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, transportation, and unloading of containers, skips, waste bins, machinery, and other cargo to prevent accidents or material loss.
  • Transport waste and recyclable materials between client sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and disposal locations according to approved schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle inspections, fuel consumption, delivery notes, manifests, and daily activity reports.
  • Coordinate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, site coordinators, and clients to ensure timely service delivery and route optimization.
  • Follow environmental and operational procedures related to waste transportation, recycling activities, and sewage service operations.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and fuel efficiency, reporting any concerns that may affect operational productivity.
  • Assist field operations teams when required with trailer positioning, equipment movement, and site logistics activities.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of assigned vehicles and trailers at all times.
  • Respond appropriately to road incidents, emergencies, and breakdown situations by following company emergency response procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by complying with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and participating in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients, facility operators, and regulatory authorities.


Skills

  • Valid Qatar Heavy Driving License (Trailer License Required)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating trailer trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Good knowledge of Qatar road networks, traffic regulations, and transportation routes.
  • Experience in waste management, logistics, transportation, construction, or environmental services is preferred.
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime when required.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience transporting waste containers, roll-on/roll-off bins, sewage tanks, or recyclable materials.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
