Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Office Assistant to support our virtual clinic operations. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for both patients and healthcare providers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and manage virtual appointments through the Tia Health platform
  • Communicate with patients via phone, email, and secure messaging
  • Assist patients with joining virtual visits and troubleshooting minor technical issues
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Verify insurance information and assist with billing tasks
  • Coordinate referrals, prescriptions, and lab requests
  • Provide administrative support to physicians during virtual clinic hours
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA)


Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and telehealth platforms
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • High level of attention to detail and confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a virtual clinic or telehealth environment
  • Experience with OSCAR EMR (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Canadian healthcare systems and billing
  • Comfortable assisting patients with basic technical issues


Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Standard hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (PST`)
  • Flexibility available for the right candidate
