Welfare Officer
About the Role Pakistan Association Dubai is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and knowledgeable Welfare Officer to support the welfare needs of the community. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all welfare activities are conducted in accordance with Islamic principles and Shariah guidelines while providing empathetic support to individuals and families in need. Key Responsibilities - Assess and process welfare requests from eligible community members in line with Shariah-compliant criteria. - Manage Zakat collection, allocation, and disbursement in accordance with Islamic rulings. - Provide guidance, support, and counseling to beneficiaries regarding available welfare assistance. - Handle sensitive welfare cases with patience, empathy, discretion, and professionalism. - Maintain accurate records of all welfare cases and financial transactions. - Prepare periodic reports on welfare activities for management review. - Ensure all welfare programs comply with UAE regulations and Islamic ethical standards. - Support community outreach initiatives and welfare awareness activities as required. Qualifications and Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Studies, Shariah, Islamic Jurisprudence, or a related Islamic discipline from a recognized institution. - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in welfare services, social work, community support, charitable organizations, or a similar role. - Sound knowledge of Shariah principles, Fiqh, and Islamic jurisprudence as applied to welfare and finance. - Demonstrated understanding of Zakat rulings, eligibility criteria, and distribution protocols. - Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to handle sensitive cases diplomatically. - Soft-spoken, patient, and compassionate personality with a genuine commitment to community service. - Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic and Urdu are an advantage. - Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities. - High level of integrity, confidentiality, and community trust. - Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
